Karina Finishes Third at World Championships
Port Macquarie's tournament water skier and Joyer's friend Karina Nowlan has collected a bronze medal in the women’s slalom division at the World Championships in Linz, Austria.
Karina, the Hastings Sportsperson of the Year and current Junior World Jump Record Holder recently returned from a successful overseas campaign including Europe, the United States and the Worlds, an event held every two years.
The feat is even more impressive when you consider Karina suffered a huge setback in May dislocating her hip in a horrible jump crash.
Karina is currently back in Port Macquarie and is planning to head back next season to build her great result this year at the worlds.
